How I Lost a Job Because of My Purse

The day that brought me the biggest bad luck of all was the one I bought this huge tote from the Cole Haan handbags collection. The second bad luck day was when I decided to wear it at a very important job interview. At first, everything went OK, the future employer seemed to be happy to see me, so I suppose he liked my CV. That meant I had good chances to get the job I wanted so much. During the interview, he asked me about my organizer skills and I was just explaining him how careful I am and how thoroughly I plan things, and how I never lost a needle in my whole life, when my bloody cell phone started to ring deep inside my purse. It must have been an important call, as it refused to stop. It took me two very long minutes to find that phone and shut it off. Another bad thing was that, during this process I forgot where I was and I started cursing the phone and the bag and so on, so that nice guy who was about to hire me was now reluctant. If I only had a purse organizer, things would have been different. Yet, my lesson is learned: never wear a big bag at a job interview, or if you do, make sure you switch off your mobile phone. You may get a very expensive call, you know?

Besides, try to wear some really elegant shoes, in the Born Crown shoes style, if possible, as I’ve read somewhere that 90% of the employers look at your shoes to make their first impression about you.
